Maths prove it- Volume,Area and perimeter of shapes

1. Perimeter of shapes
Here is an Example of perimeter .

Since a square is even we have to figure out what u + u + u + u = 32. First think back to the 4 time tables.
8 x 4= 32 because there is four sides on the even square.

Here is an example of area.
For area you only have to multiply two sides. So we need to work out 22 x 22. Here is a picture . It  was = 484. That is your answer.

Here is an example of volume. You have to muliply all the sides It is like perimeter but  you time the sides. So 3 x 3 x 3 = 27.

Here is a second example of volume.

We have to figure out q x q x q = 8. They have to be the same number. 2 x 2 x 2 = 8 . That is your answer.

Koru Game Refection.

Over the last few days I have been playing girls soccer at Prebbleton at the koru games.
I really enjoyed the challenges we had during the tournament ,because it was really fun and challenging. At the beginning of the year I was really really bad at soccer and I have improved a lot and I can now kick well and know the positions.
My goal for the next sports tournament I do is to score a goal and win a game.

Explain the words changes with prefixes and rhetorical patterns

Walt: Explain the words changes with prefixes.

Prefixes are joining a word to a  root word  to make it sound different or have a different meaning.
Example:
Kind = Root word.
You could add= Unkind to change the meaning of the word.
Here is some other prefixes and my exit and entry ticket for prefixes, below is my one for rhetorical patterns.
Next steps:

  • Pass the year 8 standard
I am now at extended abstract.

My writing prove it- Sentence structure

Walt: Use complex sentences in my writing and sentence  length in writing.
Here are two parts in my writing prove it where I have used complex sentences.

  1. We can lie to get important things in life for an example if you need a new pen for school but you got one last week you could lie and say someone stole it. Face it!
  2. I believe it is only okay to lie if you need someone to believe you Although are parents actually don't lie for the right reason's

Here are two parts in my writing where I proved I could use complex sentences. I am at relational because I can use complex sentences in my writing.
My next step is to achieve the year 7 standard.
